How 'MaxBid' works

Maxbid is your maximum bid, when you enter an amount into the bid box and click bid now, the system then bids on your behalf. It will make bids on your behalf and at the current bid incriment set for that lot. For example: if you wanted to bid on a lot where the ‘current bid’ was at $500 and you don’t want to sit there all day, you can enter the maximum amount you want to bid on that lot, say $1200, click bid now.

The system will tell you what your incriment is (which is your max bid minus the current bid), simply confirm and the system will start placing your bids. This means when ever someone bids agains you, the system will bid one incriment over them until they
out bid your maximum bid.

You will be notified by email whenever you have made a winning bid and when you have been out bid.

You can not change your MaxBid, once it has been
entered you will not be able to increase or decrease it
until you have been outbid. Once you have been out bid
you then need to bid again or set your maxbid to a
higher amount.
